Paediatric & Adolescent Exercise Programs
An effective exercise and physical activity program has distinct health benefits in the reduced risk of developing chronic disease. Physical activity also has positive effects on other aspects of a child’s everyday life. Incorporating physical activity into adolescence improves social skills, improves blood flow which can improve concentration, improve immunity, increases physical fitness (which can improve confidence), and helps improve the development of their coordination and reflexes. Incorporating physical activity into a child’s life helps to develop fundamental skills and reflexes which will remain with them for life.
Our team of Accredited Exercise Physiologists understand that adolescence require a higher level of stimulation to remain committed and focused. We strive to incorporate fun and engaging forms of physical activity to prevent boredom and reduced engagement. A simple exercise program is not enough as each child is unique and requires different forms of engagement, this is why the individualisation of our exercise prescription is vital in our paediatric services.
