Our services can be accessed by anyone, with or without a referral. The referrals we accept are listed below and include no out-of-pocket expense for NDIS, WorkCover, DVA, and Medicare. If you have private health you may be able to receive a rebate on our services.
National Disability Insurance Scheme
Physically Active is a registered provider for the NDIS. Our exercise physiology services are part of the “Health and Well-being” section for those with a permanent disability, where that disability impacts
Return to Work
Physically Active’s Accredited Exercise Physiologists are registered with WorkCover QLD and can offer exercise physiology services for any other workplace rehabilitation providers.
Physically Active provides functional exercise programs for the purposes of returning an injured worker to suitable work duties. This includes prescription of a tailored exercise program which is appropriate to the worker’s injury and work demands.
Dept of Veterans’ Affairs
Entitled Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) clients may be referred for clinically necessary exercise physiology treatment by their General Practitioner.
Chronic Disease Management Program
Medicare offers a rebate for up to 5 appointments for patients with chronic and complex care needs. Physically Active does not charge any out-of-pocket expense for these appointments. Talk to your GP about obtaining a referral to Physically Active for these appointments.

Exercise physiology treatment can be covered by your private health fund provider, however rebates do vary.
